History :

Captain Amol Kalia was born on 26 February, 1974 in Nangal which is in district Una of Himachal Pradesh.Martyr Amol Kalia passed his 12th class from Fertilizer Model School Nangal. Amol Kalia passed the entrance exam of National Defense Academy in April 1994. Amol Kalia became Sub- Lieutenant on January 21, 1996. On 15 August, 1999 Captain Amol Kalia was honored with 'Veer Chakra' posthumously for his bravery during Kargil war by the President of India.
